Nokia N96 Review-GSMArena

Finally, here’s the review of the Nokia N96 by GSMArena.

Being a successor of the Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96 has some king-size spec sheet to top and it can’t be accused of not trying. There’s FP2, double the built-in storage and DVB-H. The bloodline is strong but the crown is heavy and ancestral sins will be held against the heir twofold. The modest battery capacity and the downgraded CPU do raise some questions that need their answers. Join us for an out-and-out review of Nokia’s latest top-of-the-shelf offer. Let’s see if it has got the performance to walk in them shoes size N95.

Nokia 5800 XpresssMsic Reviews

Here are some reviews of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Review by Telegraph.uk

“The generous 3.2in widescreen display is pleasingly responsive to the touch, while it features a superior camera to the iPhone, as well as the ability to record video – a basic feature missing from Apple’s device.

Its web browser is fast, thanks to the phone’s reliance on the high-speed 3G network and support for Wi-Fi, but it’s just not as much fun to use as that on the iPhone.”

Review by Timesonline.uk

“Touchscreen mobile phones are the big thing at the moment, mainly thanks to the iPhone.

Now, at last, Nokia has joined the fray and its Tube smartphone - or Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - has the potential to eat into Apple’s market share.

Nokia’s touchscreen is arguably on a par with the Apple handset and is likely to cost significantly less when the final operator packages are worked out. Nokia says the phone will cost about £220 before taxes and subsidies.

Here are the highlights of a phone that, together with Google’s G1 phone, will make the mobile smartphone battle really interesting.

There is a 3.2-inch display, smaller than the iPhone’s. But with a widescreen 640 x 360 pixel display and 30 frames-per-second playback and recording, the device provides high-quality video recording and playback.”

Sony Ericsson C905 vs Samsung INNOV8-Mobile Review

Camera Comparison of Sony Ericsson C905 vs Samsung INNOV8.

“To be honest with you, I was planning this piece as a lowdownon the C905’s camera, however eventually it has turned into a head-to-head comparison with another 8 Mpix cameraphone - the Samsung INNOV8. And right off the bat, so as to dispel all questions and doubts about the credibility of our sample images, we guarantee that all shots were taken with the latest software available for these handsets. That is, our Sony Ericsson C905 was running on R1BA072 firmware, and it’s more than likely that this version will make it to the phone’s retail release. Actually, if even they will update it, it won’t make much difference, since the hardware found in our sample was exactly the same as in the commercial version of the phone.

During our quality time with either of these phones we made hundreds of photos in all imaginable environments (all in all, the final count is this: five hundred for the C905 and around a thousand for the INNOV8). So, in my opinion, we won’t run out of sample snaps any time soon, plus this vast gallery we have accumulated over the last months should make for a decent and comprehensive comparison between these two cameraphones.

Furthermore, having some other not-yet-announced 8 Mpix shooters on our hands, we managed to see how the INNOV8 and C905 fared against similarly geared solutions - as it turned out, they weren’t that much different at all.

For those of you wondering, there is no point in throwing the Samsung PIXON M8800’s camera into this write-up as well - as a matter of fact, it’s slightly worse than that found in the INNOV8. Furthermore, the M8800 is a totally different type of phone, plus it won’t be able to reach the sales of the i8510. You could just as well compare a five-liter sporty roadster and a truck with exactly the same engine. Same goes for the M8800’s direct rival, the LG K910. But those of you who can’t handle the thought they won’t see a showdown between all existing 8 Mpix shooters, skim through our exclusive review on the M8800, where we put it up against both the INNOV8 and C905. Really, there is no harm in facing it off against the best cameraphones around, but such a comparison is quite meaningless.”

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte Review-GSMArena

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

Review of the 880 Carbon Arte by GSMArena.

“Ask not what your phone can do for you. It’s Nokia Arte, folks, so the question is who you need to kill to have it. Exquisite materials, sophisticated slider design and state-of-the-art finish are doing their best to camouflage the fact that there isn’t much your phone can actually do for you. In geeky terms, that is.

But hey, we never held that against the Arte series. That Arte tag is just a sin tax and there’s obviously people out there that can live with it. Cast in the same mold as its forerunners, Nokia Carbon Arte is topping the familiar OLED screen, 3G and 3 megapixel camera with carbon fiber and titanium and 4GB of inbuilt memory. Sounds like we’ve been there already but a glimpse of Arte is always a treat.”

Samsung PIXON M8800 Review-Mobile Review

Samsung INNOV8 on the left and M8800 on the right

Samsung INNOV8 on the left and M8800 on the right

Review of the Samsung PIXON M8800 by Eldar Murtazin of Mobile Review.

“As of today, there is no phone that can take the M8800 on in terms of functionality and user interface, bar Windows Mobile based solutions (that allow the user to install third-party applications) and the Apple iPhone. However the iPhone’s operating system is much more inferior to that of the M8800, plus it doesn’t have some of the most basic features onboard and in this sense the Samsung M8800 is way ahead of it. All in all, it’s a quaint, yet likable device with no counterparts whatsoever.

The final part of the review is coming up tomorrow. Stay tuned for our take on the Samsung M8800’s positioning and design!”

Nokia 3600 Slide Review-GSMArena

Nokia 3600 Slide

Nokia 3600 Slide

Here is the review of the Nokia 3600 Slide by GSMArena.

Nokia 3600 slide is one of those handsets which no one seems to covet, love and lust but everybody ends up buying or having. It’s a straightforward guess that a S40 handset of subdued but comfortable styling and sufficient skill will simply go around. The neat and compact Nokia slider has all the basics duly covered and strives to deliver beyond its price in terms of imaging. A 3.2 megapixel camera, VGA video and TV out should be enough of an identity booster.”

Samsung M3200 Beat Review-GSMArena

GSMArena have published a review on the Samsung M3200 Beat phone.

The Samsung M3200 Beat s is definitely a modest package, for both looks and skill, but music features have not been compromised a jot. It does look sufficiently armed to survive the Walkman-XpressMusic crossfire, and even shoot back. At this point, the Beat edition lacks the style to stand up to the high ranks of rival music phones, but will sure cause commotion in the midrange.”

Nokia 6220 Classic Review-GSMArena

Nokia 6220 Classic

Nokia 6220 Classic

Review of the Nokia 6220 Classic by GSMArena.

We can call the Nokia 6220 classic an attempt to regain some 5 megapixel ground. The compact smartphone carries some serious imaging power. Xenon flash, active lens cover, VGA video @ 30 fps and TV-out do sound exciting, don’t they? It would’ve been all too easy but that’s not all Nokia 6220 classic is about. One of the most compact bodies in the Symbian realm squeezes in GPS, HSDPA and Feature Pack 2 for a truly ornate UI. The new classic sure has a range of skills, now let’s see if it has the guts for the job.”
